Vesela is our Chief Legal, Regulatory & Corporate Governance Officer with more than 14 years of experience in the banking and insurance sectors, specialising in corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and legal risk management within complex financial institutions.

She started her career at us, where she progressed through multiple legal roles over more than a decade, from Junior Legal Advisor to Head of Corporate Legal Department and Corporate Secretary of the Bank Group, contributing to the development of governance structures and regulatory frameworks across Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece.

She later joined UNIQA Insurance Group in Bulgaria as Director of the General Secretariat & Legal Function and General Secretary, where she led the legal and governance agenda and supported key transformation and regulatory initiatives.

Vesela then returned back to us as Chief Legal Officer, bringing broader cross-industry experience and continuing to lead the Group’s legal, regulatory, and governance function across markets.

She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Banking and an MBA in Executive Management.

Outside of work, she enjoys a variety of sports, like tennis, skiing, and swimming, but what helps her unwind the most is travelling.
