Alex Garmash is the Chief Value Officer at tbi, responsible for driving value creation, strategic transformation, and long-term growth across the group. He joined tbi in 2024 to lead the merchant business and transitioned into his current role in 2026. 

With over two decades of experience across corporate leadership and top-tier consulting, Alex has led large-scale transformations, turnarounds, and growth programs across banking, telecom, healthcare, energy, and automotive sectors. His international experience spans both emerging and developed markets, including Southeast Asia, Latin America, Europe, and Australia. 

Prior to tbi, Alex was a Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal, focusing on complex transformation programs. He also spent a significant part of his career at McKinsey & Company, where he served as a Senior Vice President and frequently acted as interim Chief Transformation Officer for large organisations, leading turnaround and performance improvement initiatives across Asia-Pacific. 

In addition, Alex has held executive roles including COO/CFO in the automotive sector, as well as CMO and CHRO positions in banking and consumer electronics. 

Alex holds an MBA from London Business School and a Master’s degree in International Economics from Kyiv National Economic University. He has completed executive programs in strategy, growth, cybersecurity, and AI at Harvard Business School, Wharton, Oxford, and INSEAD. He is a certified member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. 

Outside of work, Alex is passionate about bodybuilding and martial arts.
